"Meme" is an idea, behavior or style, a cultural factor inheritance process from one person to another.
The theme of the 2015 graduation project of the Department of New Media Art of the Beijing Institute of the Arts is "Basic Meme Testing". The main visual uses a huge inspection light box and a wilderness space to create the feeling of trying to enter an unknown field or alien space for the first time.
The series of poster designs changes all the symbols on the vision inspection light box to the English word MEME for memes, defines "testing" as a test that everyone must go through in the era of information explosion, and places the behavior of "vision inspection" in various spaces to create the black humor and absurdity of "memes" in real space.
